Kyiv is under pressure to reach peace but resists Russian demands to cede parts of Donetsk and surrender control of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant. Talks in Paris produced commitments from allies for a multinational troop presence, but Zelenskyy emphasized these are not yet legally binding. He also suggested that the U.S. could exert pressure on Russian allies, citing parallels with the Maduro operation in Venezuela. Discussions between U.S. and Ukrainian officials are ongoing regarding territorial issues and the future of the Zaporizhzhia plant.
