Saudi Arabia and Yemen’s Houthi group exchanged threats as cross-border attacks on cities and oil facilities continued. Saudi authorities said debris from two intercepted cruise missiles injured four people and damaged 15 homes in Riyadh, while a Saudi Aramco administrative building in Dhahran was also targeted, causing a small fire. The Houthis claimed Saudi forces had carried out 104 strikes in areas under their control over the previous 24 hours. The United Nations warned that the fighting was worsening Yemen’s humanitarian crisis, with rising food and fuel prices and shortages of basic supplies.
Meanwhile, reports said US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had discussed the possibility of renewed strikes against Iran before Israel’s parliamentary elections later this month. Sources said preparations were underway, but no final decision had been made. Tensions also continued over the Strait of Hormuz, where an Iranian naval commander threatened US warships, while US Central Command said American forces and regional partners were maintaining control of the strategic waterway.
