Chinese President Xi Jinping’s special envoy Peng Qinghua visited Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, on December 12–13 to attend the High-Level International Forum for the International Year of Peace and Trust. Peng delivered President Xi’s congratulatory letter and met with Turkmen officials, including the chairperson of the National Assembly, as well as leaders of major political parties.
He emphasized China’s willingness to strengthen strategic alignment and cooperation with Turkmenistan, promoting a China-Turkmenistan community with a shared future. Turkmenistan welcomed the letter and envoy, expressing interest in deepening mutually beneficial cooperation, implementing China’s global initiatives, and enhancing ties while contributing to world peace.
