Xiongan New Area, near Beijing, is rapidly developing into a modern, sustainable, and tech-driven city. Since 2017, over 5,300 buildings, 600 high-tech firms, and hundreds of state-owned enterprises have been established, alongside newly planted forests reshaping the local ecology. The city serves as a relocation hub for Beijing’s non-essential capital functions, offering comprehensive public services, affordable housing, and a “15-minute living circle” for residents.
Xiongan is also emerging as an innovation hub, producing its first domestic satellite and supporting over 2,600 tech-driven enterprises through innovation platforms. Its smart city infrastructure, centered on the “Eye of Xiongan” computing center, integrates digital twins and a centralized “urban brain” to manage traffic, environmental conditions, and governance efficiently. Digital systems extend to rural areas, improving resource management and emergency response. Xiongan exemplifies a city built for technological growth, ecological sustainability, and human well-being.
