Xi urges efforts to further review, apply Yiwu development experience

Xi Jinping called for studying and applying the development model of Yiwu, highlighting it as a successful example of local economic growth.

He said Yiwu’s rise—from small commodities to a global trading hub—shows how regions can develop based on their own strengths.

Known as the “world’s supermarket,” Yiwu hosts the largest wholesale market for small goods, trading with over 230 countries and ranking first in exports among China’s county-level regions.
