Xi stresses consolidating, expanding campaign on correct view of governance performance

In a recent instruction studied at a meeting of the CPC Central Leading Group for Party Building, Chinese President and CPC General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized the need to consolidate and expand the progress achieved in the Party-wide study and education campaign focused on establishing a correct understanding of governance performance. Xi noted that fostering this correct view is a continuous, long-term endeavor that has successfully addressed prominent issues like vanity projects and official conduct while giving a strong start to the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030). He called for regularized education and the improvement of differentiated assessment systems and personnel selection to prioritize solid work and tangible results. Chaired by Cai Qi and attended by Li Xi—both members of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau—the meeting reviewed the concluded campaign and outlined steps to establish long-term mechanisms to sustain its outcomes.
