Chinese President Xi Jinping has sent a congratulatory letter to the 140th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, which runs from October 15 to November 4 in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. Xi said that over the past 70 years, the fair has played an important role in promoting trade between China and other countries and supporting China’s opening up to the world.
Xi also called for stronger international cooperation to safeguard the multilateral trading system, maintain stable global supply chains and expand mutually beneficial trade. He said China is willing to work with countries around the world to promote inclusive economic globalization and support global development and prosperity.
