China has published a new book featuring excerpts from speeches and writings by President Xi Jinping on community-level work. The collection includes 287 excerpts from more than 190 documents written between 1983 and 2026, with some published for the first time. According to the publisher, the book highlights Xi’s long-standing focus on grassroots governance and aims to help strengthen public services, improve people’s well-being, and support China’s modernization efforts.
