Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks with Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa in Beijing on Tuesday, calling to align development strategies, expand Belt and Road cooperation, and deepen ties across energy, infrastructure, AI, and the digital economy. Marking the 10th anniversary of their comprehensive strategic partnership, both leaders pledged to maximize the benefits of the bilateral free trade agreement and boost Ecuadorian exports to China. Following discussions—where President Xi affirmed Latin America’s right to pursue independent foreign partnerships and President Noboa reaffirmed support for the one-China principle—the two heads of state witnessed the signing of multiple agreements spanning green industries, trade, and economic cooperation.
