Despite past successes, Xi acknowledged the ongoing complexity of the corruption situation and stressed the need for coordinated action to prevent corruption among officials. He emphasized strengthening the CPC’s centralized leadership in anti-corruption work and outlined plans to deepen efforts in sectors like finance, state-owned enterprises, energy, medicine, and infrastructure. Xi highlighted the link between corruption and power abuse, calling for reforms to address these issues. He also urged improvements in anti-corruption legislation, stricter penalties for bribery, and initiatives to promote a culture of integrity through education campaigns. Family values and discipline among party officials were underscored, and loyalty, purity, and reliability were urged for discipline inspection and supervision agencies. The meeting was attended by members of the CPC Central Committee.
