On July 7, 2025, Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Yangquan in Shanxi Province to honor the martyrs of the Hundred-Regiment Campaign, a major battle in China’s war of resistance against Japanese aggression.
At the monument square, Xi laid a floral basket and then visited the memorial hall dedicated to the campaign. During his visit, he reflected on the CPC’s leadership in uniting the military and civilians during the war and praised current efforts to educate the public on revolutionary history and promote the spirit of resistance.
