The Communist Party of China Politburo, led by Xi Jinping, reviewed China’s economy and said it has started the year strongly, with better-than-expected indicators.
Officials acknowledged ongoing challenges but pledged stronger economic support through proactive fiscal policy, flexible monetary policy, boosting domestic demand, infrastructure investment, AI development, industrial modernization, and risk management in areas like property, debt, and employment. The goal is to strengthen growth and prepare for the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030).
