During talks in Beijing, Chinese President Xi Jinping and King Abdullah II of Jordan agreed to deepen their strategic partnership by aligning development strategies and boosting cooperation across traditional sectors like trade, infrastructure, and mining, as well as emerging fields such as the digital economy, artificial intelligence, and green energy. Reflecting on decades of mutually respectful and equal relations, President Xi emphasized China’s firm support for Jordan’s sovereignty and security, while King Abdullah II reiterated Jordan’s unwavering commitment to the one-China policy. The two leaders also discussed the fluid global and regional landscape, exchanging views on the Middle East where President Xi outlined four principles for resolving the Palestinian question centered on political settlement and fairness, earning praise from King Abdullah II for China’s just stance. Concluding the visit, the heads of state witnessed the signing of multiple bilateral cooperation documents spanning trade, industry, and judicial affairs, and issued a joint statement further cementing their strategic ties.
