Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni during his state visit to Cambodia. Xi praised the strong friendship between the two nations, calling it a model of equality, trust, and cooperation between countries of different sizes.
Xi said that no matter how the world changes, China and Cambodia continue to support each other. He added that China is committed to helping Cambodia grow, develop, and improve the lives of its people.
King Sihamoni expressed strong support for China’s policies and said Xi’s visit is a historic moment. He also awarded Xi the National Order of Independence – Grand Collar, Cambodia’s highest honor, for his role in strengthening ties between the two nations.
Both leaders said they aim to deepen cooperation and promote peace and prosperity in the region through partnerships like the Belt and Road Initiative and ASEAN-China cooperation.
