The 2025 World AI Conference & High-level Meeting on Global AI Governance, themed “Global Solidarity in the AI Era,” has opened in Shanghai with record-breaking attendance and exhibitions.
The conference features over 800 companies showcasing more than 3,000 cutting-edge AI products across an exhibition area exceeding 70,000 square meters. Over 1,200 international guests are participating in forums and discussions to shape the future of global AI.
Shanghai, hosting the event for the eighth consecutive year, is solidifying its position as a leading AI hub. Its AI industry saw a 29% increase in output in the first quarter of this year, reaching over $16.5 billion. The city is focusing on key areas like computing capacity, industrial AI applications, and ethical AI governance to maintain its leadership.
