Australia will vaccinate endangered wild animals against the H5N1 bird flu to prevent its spread. Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek emphasized that the strain could have severe effects on wildlife, though it’s unclear if species like koalas and kangaroos will be affected. Authorities will target species most vulnerable to the virus for vaccination.
