Polish President Andrzej Duda arrived in Beijing on Saturday for a five-day state visit to China. During his visit, he will hold talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping to discuss the future of China-Poland relations and attend a signing ceremony for cooperation documents. The visit includes meetings with Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Zhao Leji, chairman of the National People’s Congress Standing Committee. Duda will also attend the 15th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting of the New Champions in Dalian on June 25.
This visit marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Poland, with Poland being one of the first countries to recognize the People’s Republic of China. Bilateral trade has grown significantly, reaching $42 billion in 2023, and Poland is China’s largest trading partner in Central and Eastern Europe. The Belt and Road Initiative has strengthened ties, with increasing Chinese investment in Poland.
The visit signals a commitment to mutual benefit and cooperation between China and Poland, aiming to address challenges and boost relations between China and Europe.
