China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi said China’s diplomacy will reach new heights in 2026 under the 15th Five-Year Plan. The focus will be on strengthening global influence, promoting peaceful relations with major countries, and building a shared future with neighbors. China aims to support the Global South, expand trade and cooperation, advance Belt and Road projects, and contribute to global governance reform. Safeguarding national interests, protecting citizens abroad, and ensuring security will also remain priorities, as China seeks to deepen engagement and reinforce its strategic position worldwide.
