Wang Yi: China, Japan can jointly promote, practice Asian values

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasized the importance of harmony, empathy, and Asian values in China-Japan relations during a meeting in Tokyo with former Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda. Wang praised Fukuda for supporting China’s vision of a shared future for humanity and for promoting cultural exchanges in Asia.

Highlighting the geographical and cultural ties between China and Japan, Wang called for cooperation to strengthen political and public support for stable bilateral relations. Fukuda echoed this sentiment, stressing the need for deeper exchanges in culture, academia, and people-to-people interactions to enhance mutual understanding and improve ties between the two nations.
