In talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Lam emphasized Vietnam’s strategic priority on its relationship with China, highlighting the importance of maintaining high-level exchanges, enhancing strategic trust, and cooperating on development strategies. Vietnam supports China’s sovereignty claims, opposes interference in its internal affairs, and is willing to manage maritime differences collaboratively. Lam also expressed Vietnam’s commitment to multilateralism and global initiatives led by China, aiming to contribute to regional and global peace and stability.
