The US-Israel-Iran conflict entered its 24th day with no resolution in sight. Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) launched the 75th wave of Operation True Promise 4, targeting Israeli military sites and the US Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia.
US President Donald Trump threatened to hit Iran’s electricity grid within 48 hours if Tehran did not fully open the Strait of Hormuz. Iran’s Foreign Ministry responded that the strait is not blocked and navigation continues, but it has restricted vessels linked to the US and Israel. Non-hostile vessels from other countries can pass if they comply with Iranian regulations. Iran warned that any US attacks could prompt retaliation against energy and water systems of Gulf neighbors, potentially disrupting electricity and desalination plants that supply millions of people with water.
In Israel, military operations continue. Israeli forces have dropped over 10,000 munitions on Iranian targets since February 28 and expect “weeks more of fighting” against Iran and Hezbollah. Hezbollah has fired hundreds of rockets into Israel since March 2, prompting an Israeli offensive in Lebanon that has killed more than 1,000 people. Israel has also targeted Lebanese infrastructure, including homes and bridges, to prevent attacks.
The US Department of State has advised Americans worldwide, especially in the Middle East, to exercise increased caution.
