Iranian officials have warned that any “malicious” US action would trigger a strong response against American military and economic interests in the region. President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran does not want war but will not give in to pressure. Meanwhile, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has warned that rising tensions could lead to further escalation and disrupt supplies of energy and food.
