US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has announced plans to create a new four-star military command focused on autonomous and robotic warfare. The “Autonomous Warfare Command” will oversee technologies such as drones, robots and artificial intelligence, with the goal of developing and deploying these systems more quickly across the US military. The Pentagon is also launching projects to study future warfare and strengthen military bases against cyberattacks and other threats.
