Ukraine, Gaza and the U.S. election will lead Munich Security Conference talks

The 60th Munich Security Conference, commencing amid geopolitical conflicts and economic uncertainty, aims to address ongoing conflicts and potential security issues with the goal of promoting peace through dialogue. The Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Hamas conflicts are expected to dominate the agenda. The possibility of a U-turn in U.S. policy towards Ukraine, potential European security concerns, and discussions on lesser-reported conflicts in Sudan and Yemen will be key topics. Delegations from various countries, excluding Russia and Iran, will participate. The conference, often called the ‘Davos for defense,’ provides a unique informal environment for diplomatic progress.
