U.S. and Ukrainian delegations concluded three days of talks in Miami on Saturday, focusing on territorial issues and U.S. security guarantees for Ukraine. Discussions on territory were described as “difficult,” while progress was reported on security arrangements, though further work is needed to align interpretations.
The talks ended with a two-hour call between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, U.S. envoy Steven Witkoff, and Jared Kushner, joined by Ukraine’s top negotiators. Zelenskyy said the discussions were “long and substantive,” with both sides agreeing on next steps. Ukraine’s team will return to Europe Monday to brief Zelenskyy on the latest U.S. proposals.
