U.S. teachers and students thank Xi for Chinese New Year greetings, look forward to visiting China

Teachers and students from Lincoln High School in Washington expressed gratitude to Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife, Peng Liyuan, for responding to their Chinese New Year greeting card. Xi and Peng invited them to visit China for exchange and study, fostering friendship, especially among youth. The school’s principal, Karl Hoseth, sees the card as a symbol of deep care, making Lincoln High School a bridge between China and the United States. The students, excited about the opportunity, aim to learn more about Chinese culture. As part of the exchange, Lincoln High School watched the English version of the 2024 Spring Festival Gala and received the official mascot. The school, part of a program announced by President Xi, will be among the first to visit China in March, visiting various cities and the China Media Group headquarters.
