The U.S. House of Representatives has passed the GENIUS Act, a landmark bipartisan bill establishing the first federal regulations for stablecoins, digital currencies pegged to fiat money. Approved by a 308–122 vote after Senate approval in June, the bill is expected to be signed into law by President Trump, who strongly supports it. The House also passed two additional crypto-related bills: the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, which regulates crypto exchanges and brokers, and the Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act, which bans central bank digital currencies. These two still await Senate approval.
