U.S. President Donald Trump will sign an executive order this week to extend the deadline for TikTok’s Chinese owner, ByteDance, to sell the app. This is the third extension. The original ban was delayed in January, again in April, and now Trump is giving a 90-day extension to keep TikTok running while negotiations continue. The White House says the goal is to make sure Americans can keep using TikTok safely, with their data protected. Although earlier deals failed—mainly due to tensions with China—Trump remains supportive of TikTok, especially since it has helped him gain popularity with young voters.
