U.S. President Donald Trump said on Sunday that individual European leaders would visit the United States on Monday or Tuesday to discuss resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict. He also mentioned plans to speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin soon.
Trump expressed dissatisfaction with the current state of the conflict, citing a recent Russian airstrike that Ukrainian officials said set Kyiv’s main government building on fire. Despite this, he expressed confidence that the situation would be resolved.
He also indicated readiness to enter a second phase of sanctions against Russia, signaling a potential escalation in pressure on Moscow and its oil buyers.
