U.S. President Donald Trump told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a phone call on Wednesday that he wants the conflict to end within a month. The two discussed issues their teams will address in Geneva on February 26 ahead of a planned trilateral meeting with Russian officials in early March. The call, which included U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, aimed to prepare for advancing the talks to a leadership level. Zelenskyy noted that a leaders’ meeting is the only way to resolve complex issues and finally end the war.
