Trump holds military parade amid protests across the U.S.

U.S. President Donald Trump held a military parade in Washington, D.C., on Saturday to mark the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army and his 79th birthday. The event featured tanks, a flyover, and troops marching. At the same time, tens of thousands protested nationwide under the “No Kings” movement, rallying in cities like New York, Los Angeles, and Houston against Trump’s policies, including his deployment of troops after immigration raids. Despite visible large crowds, the White House downplayed the protests as failures. The parade was overshadowed by the recent killing of Democratic lawmaker Melissa Hortman and her husband in Minnesota, an attack Trump quickly condemned.
