US President Donald Trump said on Thursday he has withdrawn plans for additional strikes against Iran, claiming that negotiations for a potential agreement to end the conflict are nearing completion and could be finalized within days.
He stated that the proposed deal, reportedly backed by US allies including Israel and Gulf partners, has been approved in principle and may be formally signed in Europe. However, Iranian officials pushed back, saying no final agreement has been reached and describing the reports as speculative, while Israeli officials also said they had not been informed of any finalized deal.
