According to CCTV News, a 15-year-old Chinese student from Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, Yu Ningpeng, donated two key historical relics to the Nanjing Massacre Memorial Hall on Friday. The items—a battlefield letter from a Japanese lieutenant and a photo album from the Hanami Unit—are considered significant evidence of Japan’s aggression in the 1930s.
The letter, dated December 18, 1937, details the capture of Nanjing, while the album contains 44 photos documenting a Japanese field hospital in Tianjin. Yu said collecting and donating these relics is his way of safeguarding historical truth and translating patriotism into action.
