On day 12 of the Paris 2024 Olympics, Team China achieved historic milestones. The acrobatic swim team won gold in artistic swimming with a record-breaking score of 996 points. Weightlifter Li Fabin set an Olympic record in the 61kg class with a total of 310kg, while Hou Zhihui set a new record in the 49kg clean-and-jerk with a lift of 206kg. In Taekwondo, Guo Qing earned silver in the women’s flyweight division. Deng Lijuan won silver in sports climbing, and Feng Ziqi took bronze in women’s freestyle wrestling. China’s women’s field hockey team advanced to the final, and in table tennis, both men’s and women’s teams moved to the semifinals.
