Badminton player Cui Hechen and women’s 3×3 basketball player Liu Bei have been chosen as flag bearers for the Chinese delegation at the opening ceremony of the 2025 FISU Summer World University Games, held from July 16 to 27 in Rhine-Ruhr and Berlin, Germany. Both athletes are making their Universiade debuts—Cui from Hunan Normal University and Liu from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Expressing pride and excitement, they aim to represent China and showcase the spirit of Chinese youth. China will compete in 90 events across 14 sports during the Games.
