Designer Andy Yu presented a sustainable fashion collection at the “Prelude to Lunar New Year Gala,” hosted by China Media Group in collaboration with CCTV. The collection, celebrating the Year of the Dragon, showcases the concept of sustainable fashion by blending traditional Chinese culture elements with eco-friendly materials and techniques. Yu gained international recognition for his avant-garde approach, transforming thrift store finds, including tablecloths, into creative fashion pieces. The collection features decorative elements sourced from second-hand shops, streets, and trails, giving new life to discarded fabrics and garments. The runway show aims to educate and inspire the younger generation to embrace daily sustainable fashion practices.
