SpaceX is preparing for the launch of Polaris Dawn, scheduled for no earlier than July 31. This mission, funded by U.S. billionaire Jared Isaacman, marks the first commercial spaceflight with an all-civilian spacewalk. Following the Inspiration4 mission in 2021, it is the second all-civilian mission. Polaris Dawn’s objectives include conducting the first private spacewalk, researching human health in space, and testing Starlink WiFi capabilities aboard the spacecraft. The mission aims to achieve a high orbit approximately 700 kilometers above Earth, the highest-altitude crewed flight since the Apollo moon missions. SpaceX’s Crew Dragon capsule will carry Isaacman and three others on a five-day orbit around Earth.
