Most senior presidential secretaries, except for those in the Office of National Security, also resigned. President Yoon Suk-yeol pledged to respect the people’s will and work on reforming state affairs and stabilizing the economy. The elections saw the liberal bloc, including the main opposition Democratic Party, winning over three-fifths of seats, signaling a referendum on President Yoon’s governance.
