A South Korean-flagged vessel capsized off Japan, resulting in the deaths of at least nine people, according to South Korea’s foreign ministry. Among the deceased were two South Korean nationals, while the Japanese coastguard rescued an Indonesian crew member. One crew member remained missing out of a total crew of 11. The incident occurred off the coast of Yamaguchi prefecture in western Japan, involving a chemical tanker, as reported by Japanese public broadcaster NHK.
