The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) floated around 310 more balloons carrying trash across the border into South Korea overnight, Yonhap News Agency reported on Monday, citing South Korea’s military.
According to Yonhap, the latest batch of waste-loaded balloons sent late Sunday contained scrap paper and plastic, with no toxic material detected so far. This information was provided by South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff.
