South African parliament to conduct investigation into deadly Johannesburg fire

The South African parliament will investigate the deadly Johannesburg fire that claimed at least 77 lives and left dozens injured in a five-story building. Parliament’s Presiding Officers have committed to intervene, assigning oversight committees to assess the state of “hijacked buildings” and the conditions of private and government-owned buildings.
