Senior Chinese official Cai Qi visited leading experts attending the annual summer retreat in Beidaihe, Hebei Province, on Monday. Acting on behalf of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Cai conveyed greetings from the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council.
The annual gathering brings together specialists in fields such as basic research, advanced technology, key industrial sectors, philosophy, and social sciences. Cai encouraged the participants to uphold the spirit of scientific innovation, achieve further breakthroughs in their work, and contribute to China’s modernization efforts.
