The motion, scheduled for a parliamentary vote on Saturday, stems from Yoon’s controversial declaration of martial law, which was later repealed. Han emphasized that he was not defending the president’s unconstitutional actions but sought to prevent the damage an unprepared impeachment could cause. He also criticized the Democratic Party for its role in the situation but argued that the opposition’s actions did not justify Yoon’s martial law declaration.
