Cristiano Ronaldo has ended speculation about his future by signing a two-year extension with Al Nassr, posting “Al Nassr forever” and holding a shirt marked “Ronaldo 2027.” The new deal keeps the five-time Ballon d’Or winner at the Saudi club until June 2027, meaning he will still be playing past his 42nd birthday. Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in December 2022 on a landmark contract worth about $200 million a year, a move that helped spur other stars such as Neymar and Karim Benzema to the Saudi Pro League. He has since scored more than ninety league goals for the Riyadh side and recently led Portugal to another UEFA Nations League title, yet his only silverware with Al Nassr remains the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup. The extension keeps alive Ronaldo’s pursuit of 1,000 career goals and a possible final World Cup appearance in 2026.
