Ringing in 2025, China vows to bring more smiles to its people

In his New Year speech, Chinese President Xi Jinping highlighted 2024
as a year of progress in improving citizens’ lives and strengthening
global ties. Domestically, China prioritized healthcare, education,
housing, and elderly care, raising incomes and benefiting millions
through key programs. Globally, it expanded trade, deepened
partnerships with developing nations, and promoted peace in conflict
zones. Xi emphasized China’s commitment to creating a better future for
its people and the world through cooperation and shared progress.
