As Myanmar’s earthquake death toll rises to 1,700, with over 3,400 injured, China and neighboring countries have mobilized critical aid and rescue teams.
China has sent two rescue teams, totaling 119 personnel, along with life detectors, drones, and relief supplies. The Red Cross Society of China has provided emergency aid, including tents, blankets, and kits for 2,000 households. China is also offering 100 million yuan ($13.9 million) in humanitarian assistance.
ASEAN has pledged support for relief efforts, while Malaysia, Vietnam, India, Singapore, and New Zealand have dispatched rescue teams, medical personnel, and financial aid. The UN has allocated $5 million to support emergency response operations.
