Record-breaking freeze persists in Sweden

Sweden is experiencing extremely cold temperatures, with the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) reporting a record low of minus 43.8 degrees Celsius at the northernmost weather station in Naimakka. This marks the coldest January temperature in Sweden in 25 years, with earlier lows of minus 43.6 and minus 41.6 recorded at other northern stations during the week.
