Russian President Vladimir Putin said Russia is ready for a peace deal with Ukraine based on the so-called “Anchorage understandings,” which reportedly involve territorial concessions in the Donbas region. He said Ukraine must also agree for the conflict to end.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded with an open letter calling for direct talks with Putin, while U.S. President Donald Trump said both sides would need to make compromises to reach peace.
