Protesters out in force for ‘No Kings’ rallies across the U.S.

Mass “No Kings” protests took place across the U.S., with millions expected at over 2,600 rallies. Demonstrators, mostly critical of President Donald Trump, accused him of authoritarianism and corruption. Protests were largely peaceful, with no arrests in New York and large turnouts in cities like Washington, Boston and Chicago.

Participants voiced concerns over Trump’s actions, including prosecuting political rivals, using the National Guard in cities and strict immigration enforcement. Some lifelong Republicans and military veterans also joined, saying democracy and national values are at risk.

Trump responded by saying, “I’m not a king.” Democratic leaders supported the protests, while some Republicans called them anti-American.

Organizers said the demonstrations aim to show public resistance, even if they don’t directly change Trump’s policies.
