The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China announced that Losang Jamcan, serving as special envoy for Xi Jinping, will attend the presidential inauguration ceremonies in both Djibouti and Uganda this month.
According to the announcement, Losang Jamcan will travel to Djibouti City on May 9 to attend the inauguration of Ismail Omar Guelleh. He will then visit Kampala on May 12 for the inauguration ceremony of Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
The visits reflect China’s continued diplomatic engagement with African countries and its participation in major political events across the continent.
